Something about me

I come from Madagascar (in Africa). If you Google it, it is about 10,000 miles away and 18 hours by plane from where I am today in the United States. But the journey to where I am today is bigger than this - where I am today is billions of steps away from the kid I once was that experienced a civil war, that cried during times of pain, that wanted to be a soccer player, music producer, dancer, that then became investment banker, investor, economist, and that is still looking to find his path and build the legacy that means most to him. I came to America at the age of 17. Feels like yesterday when I did not know what to do with my life, that I felt alone and with no sense of "home", that I dreamt of opportunities in America, drove hours, and sent thousands of emails only to be told no again and again, that I wanted wealth but my bank account was at $12.5, credit score at 490 and I did not have any information, that I did what I thought I should do just because of what others said but did not have a plan, that I dreamt but had no accountability for myself with my actions.

I lived in Ivory Coast, Tunisia, and traveled throughout the world. For nearly four decades on this Earth, I have seen first hand the dreams, challenges, and opportunities that there are every day. By the Glory of God, my own determination, and the support of my close ones, I am here today with my dream home, building a family, and found a "home" in America. I am now living the "someday" that I thought was impossible a few years ago. It is only the beginning for me, and I will never be perfect, but today I want to make sure I help in any way the next person.
